Most important lesson from last two games is that a 1 or 2 goal lead means nothing against the top teams.

Conacher should be gone, he is more likely to get JT or KO hurt protecting his useless butt.

Agreed. These lines make sense. Maybe strome on the first line? Has some awesome passing ability.

I think if anyone, outside of Conacher, get's a shot at JT's line it's going to be Lee. Strome has played RW up to this point.

Here's a conundrum: how is it that the Isles perpetually struggle with the big bad Bruins, yet the Habs, another small-ish, fast, skilled team, completely pwn the B's year after year?

Yeah. I knew that someone would say that but I dont think going to the other side would bw that tough for him. I think his passing would be huge on that line but Lee would be a good player to try also.

The Habs have occupied the minds of the Bruins. The Bruins do the same poop over and over again expecting the same result it's insane. Instead of just beating the Habs on the scoreboard they're chasing them around the ice and taking dumb penalties. The Habs ignore the tough guy bullpoop and Bruins fall for it every single time. Most notably Lucic.

The Isles are 3-2 against the Bruins over the last two seasons. I'd hardly consider that perpetually struggling.

I love how the back sports page has the new isles owner saying he, "wants to learn from wang". The absolute last thing any islander fan wants to hear

No question I think the new owners wanted to play the good soldiers for now and blow smoke at Charles.

he would certainly be an upgrade to the first line, i just think Lee is the perfect fit. hes a big boy, can sit in front of the net, go to the corners, stick up for jt/ko and he hustles his butt off. he needs to be on the top line in the near future.

I remember last year when he was he was getting points even without JT. He needs to be up there and I think once guys start coming back that is where he will eventually be

In the years before that I would have agreed with you. But I looked at the roster from the '11-'12 season earlier, and there was 10 guys on that roster that are on the 23-man roster today. And of those 10, three were Cizikas, de Haan, and Donovan who played 15, 1, and 3 games respectively. So really...less than a third of that roster is on the team today. So going that far back wouldn't really be relevant.

Like the lines for tonight.
I think we all agree with the pickups of D men and goalies in the offseason. What I think the Isles need to do now is the Vanek trade. It made no sense last year with what the team needed then, but now it does. Now , before you all go crazy, I am not suggesting we trade for Vanek. What I am suggesting is getting a real proven top line winger to play with Jt and Kyle. I admit I am not sure who is available right now, but Garth should definitely be looking around. THen the lines would be:
Top LW- JT - Kyle
Lee-Nelson -Strome
Grabo -Neilsen- Kulimen( excellent defensive shutdown line)
Cizikas and whatever 2 out of Bailey , Martin , Boulton, Conacher, Grabner. (whichever ones are left after the trade)
I know its gonna be tough to get this LW I am talking about , with the lack of all the 1st rounders we gave away last year, but I really think that's what we need. My whole point of this was , last years Vanek trade would make more more sense right now.

Don't forget Clusterbuck, and it might mean exposing two or three of them to wavers.
